One hundred eight (108) years ago, the Tennessee State Fair started as the official state fair of our great state. Throughout the course of the history of the fair, stock car racing has been an instrumental part of the event.
Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville and the Tennessee State Fair are pleased to announce, racing will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 2014 during the ten day event. The state fair officially opens on Friday, September 5th and runs until Sunday, September 14th.

Your purchase of a ticket to the fair includes the racing program set for Sunday, September 7th. The admission to the fair and race: Adults (19 – 54 yr old) – $8.00, Youth (3 -18 yr old – $6.00. Seniors (55 and over) $6.00 and Children (2 and under) FREE. What an opportunity to spend the day with the family, enjoy the sites and sounds of the fair which includes grandstand admission to the excitement and sounds of the speedway.
The racing program features 350 action packed green flag laps, including the dwarf, legends, Pest Doctor front runners, USA Motor & Machine pro mods, pure stock, open wheel modified, super street and the $1,000 to win sportsman event on the quarter mile. The D & D Events limited late models on the 5/8th mile oval for 40 laps plus the Big Machine Records Pro Late Model Challenge Series presented by Hunter Sand & Gravel highlight the evening with a 100 lap, $5,000 to win, all out battle to gain points and momentum as the season moves toward the All American 400 Weekend.
Tennessee drivers, Josh Weston, Tucker Wingo, Mark Day, Sterling Marlin, Willie Allen, join Alabama drivers Chris Whorton and Dennis Reno, Indiana driver Cole Williams who is currently 10 points out of contention for the 2014 championship. The 2014 season has been one of the most competitive seasons of the past years. The Big Machine Records Pro Late Model Challenge Series presented by Hunter Sand & Gravel has been one of the most talked about events all year across the nation. The All American 400 Weekend, gearing up to be one of the biggest pro late model shows in the country.
The pit ticket gate opens at 9:30am, tech at 10am, first practice at 12 noon, the grandstand officially open at 3pm (your ticket purchased at the fair gate allows free admission into the grandstand), qualifying starts at 3pm with green flag racing slated for 4pm.
