Lebanon’s State Fair ‘Fairest’ to compete in statewide pageant

Caroline Hendrick, the reigning 2014 Tennessee State Fair “Fairest of the Fair,” will be competing in a couple weeks to be crowned Tennessee Association of Fairs’ “Fairest of the Fair.” Hendrick, 17, is the daughter of Mr. And Mrs. John Hendrick of Lebanon. Upon graduation from high school she plans to enter college and pursue a career in nursing. In the coming pageant to be held at the Nashville Sheraton Music City Hotel, the Lebanon High School junior will be competing against some 50 or more other reigning “Fairest of the Fairs” from across Tennessee, who will be representing their local fair at the annual event.

The Tennessee Association of Fairs is comprised of 60 county or area fairs including the Tennessee State Fair. The group’s annual convention, traditionally held in Nashville, is scheduled to begin Thursday, January 22. The pageant, regarded as one of the highlights of the annual meeting that attracts board members, administrators, and others associated with the production of fairs around the Volunteer state, will be held on Friday, January 23.
