The 2015 Tennessee State Fair will be in session beginning Friday night September 11th. The annual event held at The Fairgrounds Nashville continues to grow more and more in popularity. Fairgrounds Speedway Nashville is once again pleased to be a part of the annual event.
Racing will kick off on Saturday, September 12th at 4pm with green flag racing for nine divisions. The Big Machine Records Pro Late Model presented by Hunter Sand & Gravel will compete for 100 laps, the D & D Events Limited Late Model for 40 laps on the 5/8th mile high banked oval. The quarter mile to showcase, All Out Automotive Sportsman, Tire Recappers Super Street, Showtime Pure Stock, USA Motor & Machine Pro Mod, Pest Doctor Front Runner, Vietti Chili Legend and an added treat with the Budweiser Baby Grands in double 20 lap regional championship events.
A great opportunity to bring family and friends to the racing program and fair. One ticket at the main gate of the Tennessee State Fair, lets you enjoy the fun, games and festivities of the day. The Fun Jump bouncy houses will be set up at the speedway for the kids. A lot of good things to enjoy with your ticket you can come and go and return to the race program. No tickets to be sold at the ticket gates of the speedway entrance.
Cole Williams took the win in our August event for the Big Machine Records Pro Late Model Challenge Series presented by Hunter Sand & Gravel. Williams has captured back to back win in hoping to defend his champ ionship title. Wille Allen currently leads the points battle with three wins for the season. Paul Nogradi Jr. from East Tennessee currently leads the points battle for the D & D Events Limited Late Model. Smyrna’s Andy Johnson who got a late season start has won three times and a strong threat to repeat during the fair event.
The quarter mile divisions take to the track with the Tennessee State Fair showcasing our event. The Pest Doctor Triple Crown Challenge event for 30 laps increases the pay and the pot gets even a little sweeter at the end of the season. Jason Taylor won the first of the three scheduled events, a win during the fair assures him of a $200 bonus to be awarded at the 2015 awards banquet. Hardy Krantz Jr. has one win this year, Aaron Ashcraft has three wins and hard charging drivers Joshua Stephens, Travis Owens and Joseph French looking to take the first win of the season.
Thomas Pannell leads a host of drivers for the win in the All Out Automotive Sportsman event. Five time winner for the 2015 season, Ryan Arms takes a 77 points lead in the championship run for the defending champion. The Budweiser Baby Grands return to the speedway for two 20 lap regional championship point events. The rock’em, sock’em Tire Recappers Super Street compete for 30 laps, Carl Porter Sr. carries a 10 points edge into the event over 2014 champion, Matt Barnes.
