Ice Cream Eating Contest
Opening Weekend: Sat. (9/7) & Sun. (9/8). Final Weekend: Sat. (9/14) & Sun. (9/15)
Signup: 1pm. Contest: 1:30pm. First 10 accepted.
It might be the tastiest contest at the fair! The Tennessee State Fair Ice Cream Contest is a true battle of the sweet tooth. Each winner will receive an official TSF ice cream eating trophy.
Hula Hoop Contest
Saturday 9/7 & 9/14
It’s a battle of finesse, grace, coordination and fun – it’s the Hula Hoop contest! The Hula Hoop contest at the Tennessee State Fair is the perfect way to show off your Hula skills.
Winners will receive an official TSF Hula Hoop trophy. Sign up will begin at 10 a.m. and will be limited to the first 24 entries. The contests will begin at 11 a.m. each day at Moosic Stage and contestant will compete in groups of four.
3rd Annual Tennessee State Fair Cornhole Championships
Saturday 9/14
Ready, aim, throw! The Tennessee State Fair Cornhole Championships are back for a third year. Anyone older than 10 can enter. Registration opens at 11 a.m. and the first 64 to sign up will be able to compete. This event will take place in Volunteer Village. The contest begins at noon.
Prizes: Monetary Awards for 1st ($300), 2nd ($150), and 3rd place ($50).

9th Annual Karaoke Showdown
You might not be a big country star, but that doesn’t mean you can’t sing like you are. The Karaoke Showdown is back for an 9th year. Preliminary rounds will be held each night of the fair and the top two from every night will be invited back for the final round on Sunday the 15th.
Friday, September 6th through Saturday, September 14th
Registration begins at 6:45 p.m.
Contest starts at 7:15 p.m.
Final Round is scheduled for Sunday, September 15th
Check in: 6:30 p.m.
Contest begins at 7:15 p.m. and is slated to end at 8:00 p.m.
Prizes: Monetary Awards for 1st ($500), 2nd ($250), and 3rd place ($150).

This year’s Tennessee State Fair Pageants will be held on September 13th and 14th, 2013.
Competition Dates & Times
Fairest of the Fair – Friday, September 13th at 6pm
All Other Pageants Ages 4 to 16 – Saturday, September 14th at noon
